In our Book Collection, nearly there are 140,000 published books, 600
journal subscription, 900 theses, 800 CD Roms (for educational purposes),
500 floppy disks, 700 video tapes, 1,000 music CDs and 300 education tapes.
The electronic databases are divided into two as; i. bibliographic
information provider and
ii. full text access provider.
All the published resources are classified according to Dewey Decimal
Classification System. We use Anglo-American Cataloging Rules 2 for our
cataloging services.
The settlement of our information resources according to the floors is
as follows:
- All the published resources are available for the readers’ use; on
the Ground Floor, in the Rare Books Section, in the Main Collection, in
European Union Research Division, in Nevzat Karagil Collection and Cyprus
Corner, on the 2nd and 3rd Floors; and in the
Information Resources Division, Reserve Resources Division and Theses
Division on the 1st Floor. - Other materials except the
books, which are CDs, DVDs, Floppy Disks, Video Tapes, etc.; CD Rom
Databases and Online Databases are kept in the Databases and Audio-Visual
Materials Section for readers’ use.
- In the Music Listening Room, Classical Music CDs and resources in
tape format are available for the users.
- In Periodicals Division, newspapers and journals are available for the
readers. |
