TUBİTAK ULAKBİM  has provided access for Universities  to iThenticate, which is used to evaluate academic papers (except student homeworks) in order to detect plagiarism. iThenticate allows publishers and researchers to easily upload and scan documents, manuscripts, research and other professional works into iThenticate which compares the work against more than 17+  billion web pages and archives. EBSCO Open Dissertations includes the content from American Doctoral Dissertations. It is a free database with records for more than 1.2 million electronic theses and dissertations from around the world.

EBSCO Open Dissertations is a collaboration between EBSCO and BiblioLabs to increase traffic and discoverability of ETD research. You can join the movement and add your theses and dissertations to the database, making them freely available to researchers everywhere while increasing traffic to your institutional repository.

This new collaboration extends the work started in 2014, when EBSCO and the H.W. Wilson Foundation created American Doctoral Dissertations which contained indexing from the H.W. Turnitin: Plagiarism Detection System

(Only Academic Staff Members of EMU have authority to use this service. According  to the licence agreement; The users who wish to use the Turnitin system should have minimum Doctoral degree  !)

Turnitin is a web based system used for detecting and preventing plagiarism and improper citations in student homeworks, projects and papers. Once loaded into the system, student works are compared against a vast database. The system detects excerpts, suspicious similarities, uncited references etc. and produces a similarity report. Turnitin's control database consists of academic databases, academic journals and publications, 300+ million student homework, 60+ billion web pages.

For using the Turnitin, EMU faculty members must apply with Name-Surnameand EMU e-mail address to, Turnitin Admin; Yeliz Biçici Demir. E-mail: yeliz.bicici@emu.edu.tr .  You will be identified to the system and a user name and password for accessing to the system, will be sended to your EMU e-mail address.

Journal Citation Reports provides you with the transparent, publisher-neutral data and statistics you need to make confident decisions in today's evolving scholarly publishing landscape.

Journal Citation Reports is sourced from Web of Science Core Collection, the premier citation index on the Web of Science platform. Journals must undergo a rigorous evaluation by our editorial team in order to be covered in Web of Science Core Collection. We capture the cited references for all content from these journals, and we link those cited references to the cited papers. This article-level citation data is aggregated to the journal-level at the end of the year to create the indicators available in JCR. Over 11,500 titles from the Science Citation Index-Expanded and Social Sciences Citation Index are covered in JCR. The Science and Social Science editions of JCR are released annually.

Web of Science - Essential Science Indicators

Essential Science Indicators (ESI) is an analytical tool that helps you identify top-performing research in Web of Science Core Collection. ESI surveys more than 11,000 journals from around the world to rank authors, institutions, countries, and journals in 22 broad fields based on publication and citation performance. Data covers a rolling 10-year period and includes bimonthly updates to rankings and citation counts.

Essential Science Indicators is sourced from the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE) and the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) in Web of Science Core Collection. 

• Document Types:  ESI analyzes articles and reviews from SCIE and SSCI journals to determine how well a paper, organization, etc. is performing. 
  
• Letters, editorial materials, corrections, etc. aren't regularly cited and, therefore, aren't included in ESI calculations.
• Depth of Data: ESI data consists of a 10-year rolling file, which increases with each bimonthly update, accumulating up to 11 years. After 11 full years of data are added, the first year is then dropped, setting the file back to a 10-year period.
• Fields: ESI uses 22 broad disciplines to rank entities and identify top-performing papers. Each journal is assigned to only one field, and the research published in that journal will take on that field assignment.
• In the case of Multidisciplinary journals, reclassification is done at the paper level, based on an analysis of the cited references. This means that papers published in journals like Science and Nature could belong to fields that are more specific than Multidisciplinary.  

• Citation Counts: Only citations from indexed journals in the Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Science Citation Index and Arts & Humanities Citation Index, are taken into account for ESI purposes. Citations coming from books, conference proceedings, or journals indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index will not be included in the citation counts for papers or groups of papers.
