CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform:

The Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society (ACS), possesses the world's largest database across all science and chemistry disciplines. It offers the SciFinder Discovery Platform to academic institutions on a subscription basis. Our team consists of over 1400 science experts. Every article and patent in the CAS Content Collection is individually reviewed, tagged, and indexed, with critical information relevant to scientists in mind, establishing interreferences between content based on concepts. Specific searches for concepts, methods, formulations, or molecules thus present you with the most relevant references. It is carefully designed to allow you to forge new connections between different pieces of information and accelerate innovation.

The SciFinder Discovery Platform is particularly useful for Chemistry and chemistry-related fields such as Pharmacy, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biology, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Food Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy Engineering, Pharmacology, Nanotechnology, Textile Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Geological Engineering, etc.

CAS SciFinder:

CAS SciFinder, with 5 CAS databases and the Medline database, includes journals, conferences, symposia, patents, books, and doctoral theses from chemistry, life sciences, biochemistry, biology, pharmacology, medicine, and related disciplines, covering literature from 1907 to the present. It allows for rapid searching of data, concepts, and molecules. Features such as Lexicon and Knowledge Graph help establish relationships between results. Sequences enables advanced gene sequence searches. Retrosynthesis offers a unique synthesis experience.

Content:

  • It searches over 50,000 academic journals related to science.
  • Patents from 109 patent offices can be searched.
  • Over 290 million organic and inorganic substances
  • Over 75 million protein and nucleic acid sequences
  • Over 150 million reactions
  • Millions of commercial product records
  • A comprehensive data archive containing 8 billion experimental and predicted H- and C-NMR spectra, providing search capabilities. Content indexes are created by scientists. 24-hour connectivity is provided.

ChemZent:

ChemZent is the first and only indexed, searchable, English-language version of Chemisches Zentralblatt, the oldest abstracts journal covering chemistry from 1830 to 1969.

CAS Formulus:

CAS Formulus is an integrated formulation database and workflow solution. With information compiled from patents and journals covering various industries, CAS Formulus helps formulation scientists evaluate ingredients, find suppliers, and explore regulatory requirements, all in one easy-to-use interface. With the brand-new Formulus module, formulations from the pharmaceutical industry to agriculture, food, or other industrial sectors are meticulously indexed and linked to relevant patents. Full-text access is provided to all patents.

CAS Analytical Methods:

CAS Analytical Methods provides a single resource for searching and comparing the latest scientific methods published across multiple fields of study. Offering easy-to-read experimental details, CAS Analytical Methods helps you get back to the lab faster. The CAS Analytical Methods module within the SciFinder Discovery Platform specifically tables methods from research papers in analytical chemistry or related scientific fields (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Basic Sciences, Engineering Sciences). Over 800,000 analytical chemistry methods published from 2000 to the present are presented to the user in tabular form, after undergoing editorial review and editing.

Kind regards.
