“Akman Dinçyürek Study Hall" Opening Ceremony

Venue: EMU Özay Oral Library
Time: 10.30 – 11.00

The late Akman Dinçyürek was a valued staff member who worked in our library with dedication and success from October 1993 to June 2021. He will be remembered for the valuable contributions he made to our library and our readers. To honor his memory, one of the study halls in our library will be named as “Akman Dinçyürek Study Hall" at the opening ceremony. Akman Dinçyürek passed away on November 17, 2025. We will forever keep his cherished memory alive in the “Akman Dinçyürek Study Hall" that will bear his name.

Top Readers Recognition Award Ceremony

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç will present awards to the top three students who borrowed the most books from our library in 2025. 

Book Reading Event: “Reading Heals"

Venue: EMU Library Garden
Time: 11.30 – 12.00

We are reading silently for 30 minutes in the library garden. 

Pick your book and join us in the library garden! 

We are reading for 30 minutes to increase public interest in books and libraries, and to raise awareness about reading habits and a reading culture. The event is organized by the Turkish Librarians Association and will be held simultaneously in all provinces of Turkey and in the TRNC, under the slogan “Reading Heals." 

* Karakol Primary School students will also attend our book reading event as the guest school.
